Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the influence factors of peripheral neuropathy in elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus, provide theoretical basis for early diagnosis and prevention.METODS Select in my hospital General clinic and diabetes clinic from January 2016 to August 2017, there were 296 cases of elderly type 2 diabetic patients. there were 215 patients with peripheral neuropathy, 81 cases of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes without concurrent peripheral neuropathy. to collect clinical data and general demographic data of the study subjects, compare the indicators of the two groups of patients, and to analyze the influence factors of peripheral neuropathy in elderly type 2 diabetes.RESULTS Gender, smoking status, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein - cholesterol and uric acid were not statistically significant between DPN and no DPN(P＞0.05); age, duration of diabetes, urea nitrogen, fasting blood glucose, blood sugar 2 hours after meal, creatinine, glycosylated hemoglobin, cereal third transaminase, islet beta cell function, insulin resistance index index compared with the difference was statistically significant between DPN and no DPN(P＜0.05), multiariable Logistic regression analysis showed that age, duration of diabetes, fasting plasma glucose, postprandial 2 hours blood sugar, hemoglobin, islet beta cell function index is the influence factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with peripheral neuropathy. CONCLUSION Dpn in elder patients with T2DM was a results of the comprehensive function of many kinds of factors. age, diabetes, fasting blood glucose, 2-hour blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin are risk factors, the islet beta cell function index is a protective factor.
