Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the relevant research indicators by means of questionnaire survey，and to understand the content related to the knowledge and practice of AIDS among young students with different academic degrees in Jiuquan city，so as to provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of AIDS among young students in Jiuquan city. METHODS 1 000 young students from three schools in Jiuquan city were investigated with EPIDATA 3.1.SPSS 17.0 was used for statistical analysis，and chi-square test was used for the comparison of sample rates. RESULTS the overall recognition rate of AIDS knowledge among 949 students was 49.5%，and the recognition rate of AIDS in the three schools（χ2=10.529，P=0.005）was statistically significant.The incidence of sexual behavior was 8.6%，and the difference between the three schools（χ2=44.939，P=0.000）was statistically significant，and the rate of condom use was 22.0%.The discrimination rate and the occurrence of sexual behavior are inversely proportional to the awareness rate of aids-related knowledge.Students mainly acquire knowledge about the prevention of AIDS and other infectious diseases through the Internet，books and newspapers. CONCLUSION young students in jiuquan city have a low awareness rate of aids-related knowledge，and different educational backgrounds have different awareness rates. Sexual behaviors occur earlier and the incidence of homosexual behaviors with different educational backgrounds is also different. Condom use rate is low，and the education and publicity channels are simple.
