Abstract:Objective To investigate the the status and related factors of breastfeeding among infants within six months of age in minority of Linxia area to provide theoretical basis for improving feeding condition. Methods Random January 2016 to December 2016 in linxia MCH child health clinic health examination and immunization vaccine-864 cases within 6 months of the baby as the object of study, designed questionnaire baby breastfeeding situation, differences in analysis of information related to different feeding way to infants through non-conditional Logistic regression analysis to explore factors influencing breastfeeding. Results The breastfeeding of baby at 7d was the highest proportion of 90.05%, and that at 1 month, 3 months and 6 months were 81.94%, 68.52% and 31.94% respectively with a decreased gradually (χ2=787.941, P<0.05); (2) the results of single factor non conditional Logistic regression analysis showed that infant age, mode of delivery, maternal age, gestational diabetes, education, nature of work, pregnancy times and maternity leave were affecting breastfeeding factors (P<0.05); (3) the results of multi-factor non conditional Logistic regression showed that cesarean section, maternal age more than 30 years old, undergraduate education, full-time and maternity leave were independent impact factors for exclusive breastfeeding rate(P<0.05). Conclusion At present, the exclusive breastfeeding rate of infants within six months of age is decreased in minority area of Linxia. The cesarean section, maternal age more than 30 years old, undergraduate education, full-time and no maternity leave are the independent factors for exclusive breastfeeding.
