Abstract:Objective To understand the hygienic status in primary and secondary schools and Kindergartens in Nanhai District of Foshan city，and to provide scientific basis for sanitary control and safety management of direct drinking water. Methods From 2007 to 2017,the hygiene monitoring work of direct drinking water system was carried out in primary and secondary schools and Kindergartens in Nanhai District of Foshan city, and the water samples were detected according to the Standard examination methods for drinking water(GB/T 5750—2006),the water quality was evaluated based on the Water quality standard for fine drinking water(CJ94-2005). Results Form 2007 to 2017,a total of 1,592 water samples were collected from 1,074 schools and Kindergartens,the total test items were 17,382.The average qualification rate of the test items was 98.19%.The qualified rate of microbial indicators showed an upward trend, with an average qualified rate of 86.93%.The highest rate of exceeding the standard is the index of the total number of bacteria.The qualified rate of direct drinking water in primary and secondary schools is higher than that in kindergartens，and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion In Nanhai District of Foshan city,the general situation of direct drinking water in primary and secondary schools and Kindergartens is in good condition,and the sanitary condition of direct drinking water is gradually improving.However, microbial contamination can not be ignored.Relevant departments should strengthen the hygienic supervision of direct drinking water in schools, especially the health management of direct drinking water in Kindergartens.
