Abstract:Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis B in Anshan City during 2010 to 2019 so as to provide epidemiological evidence for hepatitis B control and prevention. Methods Data about epidemics of hepatitis B in Anshan City from 2010 through 2019 were collected from National Notifiable Disease Report and Management System and analyzed with descriptive epidemiology methods. Results From 2010 to 2019, 15228 cases of hepatitis B were reported in Anshan City, and the average annual reported incidence was 42.10/100 000. The incidence rate showed a decreasing trend year by year, with no obvious seasonal variation. The age of onset mainly ranged from 25 years old to 34 years old. The male-to-female ratio was 1.60:1. The occupation with the highest incidence of hepatitis B was farmers, accounting for 33.00% of the total cases, followed by household and unemployed, accounting for 28.51% of the total cases respectively. Conclusion The overall incidence of hepatitis B in Anshan showed a downward trend. At the same time, the implementation of the Hepatitis B vaccine in the planned immunization for many years has made remarkable achievements in the prevention and control of Hepatitis B among adolescents and children. However, the epidemic situation of Hepatitis B among adults could not be ignored. It was necessary to continue to consolidate the routine immunization of children against Hepatitis B vaccine. Meanwhile, it needed to strengthen the comprehensive prevention and control of Hepatitis B vaccine vaccination and health education for key areas and other key groups.
