中文摘要: 目的 调查糖尿病患者居家废弃针头处理和认知现况。方法 采用问卷调查法,对122例糖尿病患者的一般情况、接受有关医疗废弃物处理知识教育情况及医疗废弃针头处理态度、行为进行调查。结果 21.9%的患者能够按照规定将废弃针头带回医疗机构处置;36.2%的患者接受过医疗废弃物居家处理知识教育,主要通过医护人员(71.1%)及网络(63.2%)途径接受相关教育。接受过相关教育的糖尿病患者对废弃针头的处理行为优于未接受过相关教育者,在态度上认为废弃针头需带回医院处理的患者在处理废弃针头的行为上优于不同态度的患者,差异均具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论 糖尿病患者居家废弃针头处理现状不容乐观;教育和患者自身态度对患者处理废弃针头的行为可能存在积极影响。建议通过建立完善医疗垃圾回收机制,加强患者教育改善现状。

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the household disposal of waste needles and cognitive status of diabetics. METHODS A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the general condition, education status about medical wastes disposal knowledge, attitude and behavior towards the disposal of discarded needles among 122 diabetics. RESULTS 21.9% of the patients were able to take discarded needles back to medical institutions for disposal normatively. 36.2% of them had received education on household medical waste disposal knowledge, mainly through professional health-care workers (71.1%) and the Internet (63.2%). The diabetics who received relevant education had better behavior than those who did not receive. Besides, the diabetics who believed that discarded needles should be taken back to the hospital have more positive behavior on disposal compared to other attitudes. The chi-square test results were statistically significant (P <0.05).CONCLUSION The present situation of disposal of household discarded needles in diabetics is not optimistic. Education as well as patient attitudes may have positive effect on dispose of discarded needles in a standardized manner. It’s necessary to establish a medical waste recycling mechanism and strengthen patient education in China.
