Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the results of physical examination of the employees in a certain railway bureau for five consecutive years, so as to understand their health status, and to provide reference for formulating health management plan and implementing health intervention measures. METHODS Through the health records information management system of the Railway Bureau, the physical examination data of the employees from 2015 to 2019 were selected, The body mass index (BMI), blood lipid index (total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein and high-density lipoprotein), blood glucose and blood pressure were summarized though contrastive analysis. RESULTS In the physical examination from 2015 to 2019, the abnormal detection rates of employees were 80.92%, 77.72%, 74.18%, 75.61% and 76.45%, respectively; the detection rates of overweight, obesity, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and hyperglycemia in male staff were higher than those in women, and the abnormal detection rate showed an upward trend with the increase of age. Among the abnormal detection rates of employees in different years, the detection rates of overweight, obesity and hypertension showed an upward trend, while the detection rates of hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia showed a downward trend and reached the lowest level in 2017, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.01). CONCLUSLON the health status of the staff of the railway administration is not optimistic. The relevant departments should attach greatimportance to the health status of the railway staff and take positive measures to improve the health level of the staff.
