Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the characteristic of health service demand in a new set of residential district, to provide ba⁃ sis for the design of service content and service mode of community general practice clinic. METHODS From November 2, 2019 to November 15, 2019, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 204 residents in the new residential district in the area based on the convenience sampling method. The content was mainly about the population sociological information of residents and the demand for health management services. The data were analyzed in SPSS 24.0, and the statistical significance was indicated by P＜0.05. RE⁃ SULTS Among 204 community residents, there were 75 males（36.8%）and 129 females（63.2%）; the average age was 57.3±15.9 years. The top five health management demands of community residents were medication guidance（158, 77.5%）, diet guidance （112, 54.9%）, diagnosis and treatment of common multiple diseases of internal and external women and children（97, 47.5%）, phys⁃ ical examination （inspection） report interpretation service（90, 44.1%）, exercise guidance（83, 40.7%）. There were significant dif⁃ ferences in the demand for dietary guidance between residents registered in Shanghai and those not registered in Shanghai（P＜ 0.05）. There were significant differences in the demand for medication guidance, exercise guidance and physical examination（in⁃ spection）report interpretation service demand among residents with or without a contract family doctor （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSION The health management of new community residents should strike a balance between medical treatment and prevention, and the de⁃ mand preference of medical consultation mode of new community residents suggests the necessity of internet medical treatment to help health management.
