Abstract:OBJECTIVE To observe the therapeutic effect of Kaiqiao Xingnao Decoction on hyperlipidemia vascular dementia and hyperlipidemia. METHODS 56 patients diagnosed with vascular dementia combined with hyperlipidemia admitted to department of integrated chinese and western medicine and neurology department in Heilongjiang provincial hospital were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, 28 cases in each group. Patients in treatment group were treated by Kaiqiao Xingnao Decoction, and the patients in control group were given by Oxiracetam capsule and Atorvastatin calcium at the same time. Evaluating the cura⁃ tive effect of the two groups, including the cognitive level ,blood lipid level before and after the treatment. RESULTS After the treat⁃ ment, the total effective rate of treatment group was 85.71%, and the other one was 57.14%. Both the MMSE score and HDS score of two groups after treatment were higher than before. The level of lipid index highly improved after the treatment in two groups. TG and LDL of treatment group were highly decreased than before with HDL increased obviously (P＜0.05). CONCLUSION Kaiqiao Xingnao Decoction was effective in the treatment of vascular dementia combined with hyperlipidemia, which could improve the cogni⁃ tive level of patients and decrease the level of lipid index.
