Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the drug administration of urban workers and residents from Outpatient of Special Diseases in our hospital so as to provide some reference for the outpatient management of special diseases in our city. METHODS Totally 6 570 prescriptions from Outpatient of Special Diseases were randomly collected from 2014 to 2016. The relevant information of the first ten oral drugs according to the sales amount, such as types, specifications, amount, frequency of drug use (DDDS), clinical diagnosis, etc., were analyzed. RESULTS The oral drugs were mainly used to treat cardiocerebral vascular and endocrine system diseases, and the Chinese patent drugs primarily had the functions of activating blood to remove blood stasis, tonifying qi and nourishing yin as well as tonifying spleen and warning kidney. In three years, the continuous first three drugs according to DDDS included Metformin Extended-Release Tablets and Aspirin, whereas the first two Chinese patient drugs were Naoxintong Capsule and Xiaoshuantongluo Capsule; the commonly-encountered diseases were cardiocerebral vascular and endocrine system diseases, including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cerebral infarction, coronary heart disease, etc., which frequently occurred in people at the age of 50～70. CONCLUSION Chinese and Western medicine can be applied in Outpatient of Special Diseases in our hospital, and the use of drugs is basically reasonable. Hospital management should pay attention to the change of disease spectrum in Outpatients with special diseases so as to promote the effective, economical and rational use of drugs.
