Abstract:Objective To explore effective ways to improve service abilities of township hospitals through investigating the educational background, title and qualification of the doctors, so as to provide basis for relevant departments to formulate policies. Methods A sampling survey was made of 12 township hospitals in Shanxi province.Results 544 staffs in township hospitals were investigated, of which 361 were permanent staffs, accounting for 66.4%, and 183 were temporary staffs, accounting for 33.6%. The doctors in township hospital graduated mainly in junior colleges and secondary specialized schools, accounted for 73.2%, the title of the doctors is generally low, the primary title and non-title accounted for 84%; there are 29.4% doctors without qualification; there are differences between the permanent staffs and the temporary staffs in educations, titles, qualifications and other aspects.Discussion through reforming the entrance examination of the adult college, establishing centralized - sinking - distance online education training mode of universities teaching resources, strengthening the propaganda and implementation of title reform policy , playing a important role in in the qualification exam training of the college ,enhancing the management of temporary staffs to enhance the service abilities of township hospitals.
