Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the progress of community rehabilitation network construction for stroke patients in Huangpu District, Shanghai, and analyze the existing problems so as to put forward relevant suggestions. METHODS A qualitative study was carried out among medical workers of community rehabilitation network construction for stroke patients in Huangpu District. Group discussions and personal interviews were conducted. RESULTS The interviewees indicated that after the operation of the community rehabilitation network for stroke patients, the rehabilitation management of the community was started from scratch, filling the rehabilitation function of the “Six in One” of the community health service system, and providing experience for the future communities to carry out stroke rehabilitation and stroke patients’ management. However, the rehabilitation technique of the general practitioners could not fully meet the needs of the patients. Few stoke patients in the community were recruited into rehabilitation management, and the performance evaluation system was not perfect. CONCLUSION Stroke rehabilitation should be classified as normalization work of community general practitioners and performance evaluation system should be improved. It was necessary to strength the construction of community rehabilitation talents and improve the informatization construction of regional stroke rehabilitation management.
