Abstract:OBJECTIVE To find out the current situation of utilization in the elderly in the urban area of L City, conduct comprehensive evaluation of different communities, put forward feasible countermeasures and suggestions according to the survey results, carry out the work for the elderly to provide a basis for the community health service centers. METHODS Descriptive analysis was conducted on the basic situation of the investigated elderly. Logistic regression method was conducted to analyze the influence factors of community health service utilization; Topsis was used to evaluate the utilization of different community health services. RESULTS The two-week visiting rate was 29.7%, the two-week visiting rate was 68.5%, and the hospitalization rate in the past year was 28.3%. Logistic regression analysis showed that the main factor affecting the two week consultation rate and hospitalization rate of the elderly was whether to suffer from chronic diseases or not. Topsis evaluation showed that the utilization of health services was relatively good in some communities with high economic and educational level. CONCLUSION The utilization of health services in the elderly in the community of L city was good, but there were differences among different communities, some elderly people believed that the doctors’ technical level was low in the community medical institutions. Therefore, it was necessary to improve the ability of medical staff at the grass-roots level and speed up the training of general practitioners so as to improve the utilization of community health resources.
