Abstract:OBJECTIVE To understand the types and occurrence of common breast diseases among women in Yongjing, and to provide basis for further research and intervention. METHODS The information of women who underwent breast examination in Yongjing Maternal and Child Health Hospital from 2009 to 2018 was collected and analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS From 2009 to 2018, there were 6 265 breast examiners in Yongjing Maternal and Child Health Hospital. A total of 2 010 patients with breast dis⁃ eases were detected: 218 were mastitis which mainly concentrated in women under 40 years old; 269 were accumulated breast which mainly concentrated in women under 40 years old; 235 were breast duct dilatation which mainly concentrated in women aged 25-54 years old; 1 239 were breast masses which mainly concentrated in women aged 25-54; 30 were lymphadenitis of the breast which mainly concentrated in women aged 25-54; 19 were early breast development which mainly concentrated in women under 29 years old. 75 cases of breast cancer were detected, and the diagnostic rate was 6.05%. The patients of breast cancer mainly concentrated in Liujiaxia, Taiji and Yanguoxia towns. CONCLUSION All kinds of breast diseases of women in Yongjing presented age and region⁃ al agglomeration. According to age changes and regional characteristics, high-risk groups and key areas should be identified, and the publicity and education of breast-related knowledge should be done well, so as to reduce the occurrence rate of various breast diseas⁃ es and improve women’s quality of life.
