Abstract:Abstract: OBJECTIVE To analyze the information of outpatients in the designated hospitals for free treatment and assistance of patients with severe mental disorders in Laoshan District of Qingdao,and to provide theoretical basis for improving the treatment policies. METHODS The information of349 outpatients from 5 designated hospitals in Laoshan District in 2024 was selected.SPSS 27.0 software was used to compare and analyze the information of outpatients of different genders,ages,marital statuses,addresses,diagnoses,and different medical institutions.RESULTS Among the 349 free-treatment outpatients,female patients(59.9%)were the majority;patients over 60 years old(39.0%)accounted for a relatively high proportion;in terms of curent residence,the majority of patients(57.0%)lived in urban areas;patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder were the main group seeking medical treatment,reaching over 97.4%; 70.2%of patients chose to visit public hospitals;the number of visits by outpatients in public hospitals was more than that in private hospitals,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Among the patients receiving free medical treatment and assistance at the freemedical treatment and assistance clinics in Laoshan District,those who choose public medical institutions have better compliance with medical visits.
