Abstract:Abstract: OBJECTIVE To analyze the management and treatment status of patients with severe mental disorders in Gusu District of Suzhou from 2020 to 2024,so as to further improve the prevention and management system for severe mental disorders and to provide an objective basis for policy making by relevant authorities. METHODS Data and information on registered patients with severe mental disorders in Gusu District of Suzhou from 2020 to 2024 were extracted from the Jiangsu Provincial Severe Mental Disorder Information System and analyzed using descriptive epidemiological methods. RESULTS Among the registered patients with severe mental disorders of Gusu District in 2024,the proportions were highest among females,those aged≥60 years,those with education level of junior high school or below,those who were married,and those who were laid off or unemployed.The distribution of disease diagnoses across years showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The reported prevalence rate,management rate,standardized management rate,medication rate,and regular medication rate all exhibited upward trends year by year. CONCLUSION Early prevention of mental disorders and screening of hidden patients should be strengthened,with particular attention paid to females,the elderly,and the laid of/unemployed populations.A full cycle service system spanning from mental health promotion to mental disorder prevention and treatment should be established,providing patients with integrated mental health and physical health services.
